I figured that I'd have heard the sticker shock across the internet if that were so, t, but thanks for your thoughts. saw that...whoever that dude is could be poster boy mansplainer. also, whatever your guy's flaws may be as a campaigner(I really can't say as there has to be a race or two that I can't follow) he stepped up and took the risk, unlike all those, you know, armchair Carvilles out there second-guessing... although, if memory serves, he does have a PDA endorsement, so he can't be *that* non-progressive...it's in the name.

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?
Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
This particular guy is really testing my limits with this -- he's spent the past several months (ever since the primary) posting non-stop on local political boards about how Aftab (the "not progressive enough" guy) is such a fake and has no real ideas and blah blah blah, and every Republican in those groups is liking and sharing those posts.
Like I said, I think we should be careful about ripping people for campaign gaffes, etc. It takes guts to open your life to that kind of scrutiny, and, given his name, he is probably a real target for haters, etc. Basically, his campaign is better than Mr. Lynch's, right?(although, yeah, if you don't face the choices they do, it is 100% easier to be incorruptible, kill in the debates you imagine as you go to sleep at night, give a perfect speech...whatever.ETA: My mistake, PDA has not endorsed him...maybe Indivisible or Democracy For America has...too many lists! That said, Krysten Sinema disappoints me often. Some of her votes, her insistence of talking about "solutions on both sides of the aisle..." but I still voted for her cause Martha McSally will vote against my healthcare EVERY FRICKING TIME.
Yeah. Aftab isn't my favorite, but he seems decent, and it's not like there's someone else running who's so much better. Chabot is awful. (I'm still kind of annoyed at Aftab from the first Women's March, when he walked by me, then seemed to notice that he'd just walked by a Person With A Disability, turned around, came back, didn't say a word to me, patted me on the shoulder, and then continued to wherever he'd been headed to begin with. But I'm not telling that story all over the internet, because it's a pointless thing in the middle of this campaign.) (Also, I don't live in that district, because the gerrymandered district dividing line is a few blocks in the wrong direction from my apartment. My district is about a third of Cincinnati, then continuing across half the state into Appalachia. Nobody national is putting any money into our race, because it's just hopeless.)
my situation with Sinema is more like an intellectual break-up, though...ten or twelve years ago, she was like my idol. We've both changed a lot.
Can I have some ~ma for tomorrow. I have the dentist appointment where I'll get my teeth ground down a bit and a temp crown to prep for the crown and bridge. Bad I have to work open to close.
I didn't realize the extent of the appointment until Sat and it's too late to cancel. Plus I'm not sure when I would even get to schedule it better and it's getting hard to eat.
We are also in a last desperate push to get the store looking nice before the new regional manager visits Wednesday and we are short handed by about half the people we should have. Right now we can't really schedule 2 people in any department for a hole shift because we have so few employees.
~ma, askye. It isn't your fault that they don't have enough employees. Take care of yourself.
I am trying to take care of myself. Mom is going up to see my brother and nephew for a week . I'm going to stock up on frozen dinners because I've learned I can cook dinner/do dishes or keep the rest of the house up but not both when I'm alone and frozen dinners are easier.
Also in January I'm going to start job hunting in Greenville or ask about transferring to the Greenville store and and move in with Matthew at some point. It's just getting harder to see him only on the weekends and even though I'm only there on weekends it is starting to feel more like my home than here.
I generally cook, but I bought a few of the Healthy Choice bowls to have on hand this summer. The couple I have tried were really good! I was encouraged by the short ingredient list. I get freaked out when I see a long list of unpronounceable ingredients. I added a bit of spice because I like things hot, but quick, easy, and tasty.
My bronchitis is still pretty bad, and I was up all night coughing, and I'm taking the day off from work. I hate taking the day off for being sick -- it feels like admitting that I can't really do my job.
