Anya: We should drop a piano on her. It always works for that creepy cartoon rabbit when he's running from that nice man with the speech impediment. Giles: Yes, or perhaps we could paint a convincing fake tunnel on the side of a mountain.

'Touched'

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

You know, they just don't make insults the way they used to. LOVE the accent!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

ltc had an epic meltdown leaving school because her friend pushed the automatic door button.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

It's hard to be 3.

Oh wait, I meant to say it's hard to have a 3-year-old.

(We've been having our share of major meltdowns as well lately, and I am so over it.)

I'm sorry to hear your in the same boat. Epic crying, refusing to get in the car, and finally one of the other mothers gave ltc one of her son's toys as bribery. I now have a migraine.

Ugh. We were on a plane the other day (always a joy with small children) and Jane began screaming -- full-throated screaming -- because she wanted the cookie that Rose hadn't yet finished, despite having already eaten her own cookies. Finally the flight attendant came over and asked if she wanted another cookie, and while I normally wouldn't agree to rewarding that behavior, you bet I gave her the cookie, if only to keep ourselves from being murdered by the other passengers.

I'm sorry about the migraine. I hope she gives you a bit of a break this afternoon.

I'm just not flying until ltc is older. Travel is hard enough on me.

The sitter is here. I can hear another epic tantrum happening. I don't have to go out there, right?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I don't have to go out there, right?

NOPE!

Three is one of the hardest ages (IME so far). I can't remember where I encountered the term "threenager" but it fit SO WELL.

It does! Rolling eyes, slamming doors etc.
