Sir? I think you have a problem with your brain being missing.

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Just tried to play some Super Mario Brothers to calm down, and that didn't really work. I've got one of those mini NES Classic consoles. The controllers that come with it have cords that are like three feet long, which makes it impossible to sit on the couch and play. So, I tried getting extension cords, but the controllers didn't work right with the extension cords. Then I bought some off-brand controllers with longer cords, which sort of work, but the buttons aren't mapped quite right -- some of the arrow keys don't work unless you press them at a weird angle.

I just wanted to relax and play some video games, not get more frustrated!

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Wanted to post in the book of Face, but don't want to offend my brother: voted in Iowa primary, but cast a strictly no penis ballot, because reasons. I don't think he and my nephews would understand. They are all good Feminists, so if one of them was running I'd vote for them. But men I don't know? Sorry, Charlie, sit down.

Thrive to spite them

Hil that really sucks. Work video games!

So I did something possibly embarrassing at work. On my break it was me and 3 other people on the break room all of whom I've worked with since instated and they were talking about Kate Spade. One woan started going on about how horrible and selfish Space was and someone else saod something about how bad could it be.

I got frustrated and finally said that it seems right at the time and it doesn't matter who you are. And I outed myself as having attempted suicide and said something first hand. They reacted ok but I'm a little embarrassed. But the manager who was there said some realy supportive things. It wasn't how I expected my day to go.

But on the other hand it may have made someone think.

And in completely other news mom told me last night that she has diabetes and has known for a few weeks and has started medicine but hasn't changed her diet. Her doctor evidently just had a nurse call he and didn't provide follow up or support . She was talking to a friend who directed her to the hospital and the resources there.

Mom is trying to switch doctors and when she does she is going to find out about seeing a dietician. I'm kind of freaked out she doesn't have the best eating habits, actually they are pretty bad, and that worries me. She has a tendancy to just not eat or barely eat. Usually she'll get a sausage biscuit from McDonald's for breakfast and 2 half sweet/half sweet teas for the day. Then if she eats anything else before dinner it might be a few handfuls of nuts or crackers and peanut butter. And if I make dinner she'll eat that or maybe Zaxbys or maybe just some cheese.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

That's frustrating. I've been through that with my dad, who has never adhered to a "heart-healthy" diet. But he's also never seen a dietician, and if your mom is planning to do that, hopefully that will point her in the right direction.

Blah. Panic starting again. I'm so sick of this.

Our wings are not tired.

I hope you were able to get some rest last night, Hil.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

ltc's doctor suggested she start using a pillow at night to prop her up because of her allergy cough that won't go away. So, yesterday we picked out a new pillowcase for her. She picked out one with little gold skulls!

One of us! I hope the pillow helps. I had horrible allergies when I was a kid. Good news is that I grew out of most of them and acupuncture got rid of the rest!

It's been helping a lot, along with finally convincing her to take her zarbees cough syrup without spitting it out on us.

And she just told me she wants a Vampirina party this year. So, I'm online getting stuff for that.

More boring doctor stuff...

Okay of the dozen or more things my PCP wanted me to get tested I am doing 4. Tomorrow morning a CT scan for a calcium score to see if my arteries are clogged, and an echo in the afternoon, boob squishing on Monday, and colon abuse on Tuesday. Then that is it. No more doctors for a year, which is after I am on Medicare. Assuming of course that all the tests show how awesomely healthy I am, which they will.

I am going to stop 100% adding salt to my food, and giving up eggs and cheese. We'll see how this helps my BP and cholesterol. I do love me some salt and live where I sweat tons every day, but my plan is to use other spices and green tabasco (my favorite) instead and see if it helps.
