Steph did you use some dads of yoga for inflexible people at one point?
I vaguely remember some Buffista discussing it at one point and couldn't remember .
I'm looking for something for inflexible yoga beginners because I am so inflexible and I need to do something before it gets worse.
I did, and it's literally named "Yoga For Inflexible People."
I just googled, and it looks like there's a 34-minute yoga program on YouTube also titled "Yoga For Inflexible People."
There's a yoga DVD called "PM Yoga for Beginners" with Patricia Walden (it's probably on YouTube, too) that's pretty easy for inflexible people, though it does require some yoga props like a block and a strap (though for the strap you can totally use a bathrobe sash or something).
I'll be checking out those videos. I barely could walk yesterday, although I did swim for an hour because that doesn't hurt anything. I think I need to work on stretchy stuff to keep from hurting myself.
The past few months doing the OrangeTheory classes often leaves me with that nice gentle sore muscles feeling, but yesterday was not nice at all! Friday, as usual there were about 8 different activities over the hour, but one of them that was repeated somewhere around 6 times was something called dumbbell bench squats. It was a set of ten and I don't know if I ended up doing 50. 60 or 70 because the routine was rower, bench squats, v leg lift things, pushups, treadmill, rower, bench squats, other stuff I can't remember, repeat a bunch of times. Every round included the 10 bench squats. I felt fine when I left class, but yesterday each and every time I had to go from sitting to standing or reverse was torture. Today is much better, but ouch ouch ouch. Coach Mallory is going to hear about this Monday when I see her again.

I'm trying to be helpful on a Facebook group for people using DNA tests to try to find their birth parents or other unknown relatives (usually either adoptees looking for birth parents, or people who know who their mother is but they're looking for their biological father.) I'm kind of amazed at how many times I'm hearing the story, "I took a DNA test just for fun, and it showed me that I'm 50% (or 25%) Jewish, and no one in my family is Jewish. Finally the family gossip told me that my mom (or grandma) had an affair with a Jewish doctor." It's always a doctor. I think I've talked to five different people in the past couple days who are descended from unknown Jewish doctors, and not one unknown Jewish father who had any other profession.
I'm also discovering just how difficult it is to write coherent sentences describing the different possibilities for how two people could be related.
My MIL was adopted and her birth father was Russian Jewish, not a doctor though! We are pretty sure we found him, but he didn't respond to the note she sent him. Oh well, pretty sure he is dead by now. I should have her do the DNA in case she has any siblings out there.
