Now hold on, I'm gonna press the right pedal harder. I expect us to accelerate.

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Sorry for everyone who's feeling bad. I don't really want a cyborg replacement body, or to be a head in a jar, I just want the body to function properly.

Not that I should complain much. According to the tests my doctor has recently run, I have the internal organs of a 25-year-old. (Yes, I keep them in a jar on my desk. ba-dum-tiss) Yay for fish oil and milk thistle, which must be the reason, since my diet has always been crap.

This thread reminded me that I'm overdue for a colonoscopy. What a nuisance, trying to keep me alive.

I think I enjoy these "bird videos for cats" more than the cats do.

My sister and I had a garage sale at her house, during a heatwave, and it was awful and we didn't make enough money to be worth it. I overdid the walking around/carrying heavy things and my foot and ankle were super swollen and painful for a week afterward. I'm only now starting to be able to walk without the cane again. I shouldn't complain, since it is healing, but man. It's taking a long time.

Steph, depression and anxiety always go along with my period too. And fatigue. I just gave in to it and slept most of the weekend because I could. The cats apparently think I'm dying. They've been very concerned, by which I mean wailing at me a lot. When I get suddenly real tired and miserable, I know my period will start in two days. Listen, goddesses of menopause, can we move this process along? I'm almost 55, for pity's sake. I'm tired of this hormonal shit.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My mom has had enough benign polyps removed that I need a colonoscopy starting this year (except, since my birthday is in November, I will be putting it off until NEXT year because don't wanna).

Shingles are better this week but still painful. I can at least sleep on my chest again (with enough pillows) and sit up in the morning without crying.

The WW bathing suit is AMAZEBALLS and I want one.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Sadface that the swimsuit is completely out of my size!

Steph, you were the one with the BPAL reaction, yes? Turns out you were a trendsetter!

5. PLAY-DOH
Hasbro just trademarked the smell of Play-Doh. The toy company says the smell "has always been synonymous with childhood and fun." So what is the smell? Hasbro describes it as "a sweet, slightly musky, vanilla fragrance, with slight overtones of cherry, combined with the smell of a salted, wheat-based dough." THE VERGE
That's why we always put a dab of Play-Doh behind our ears before a big date.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Ha! Yes, that was me. And I do love the way Play-Doh smells, but it's not really what I think of as a perfume.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm interviewing a new potential sitter Thursday! Wish me luck because I'm still really run down.

Our wings are not tired.

Sitter~ma! I was pretty lucky in that regard. I took the kids to work with me which provided lots of distractions and activity. We also had a family friend who was in his mid-20s that was my go to sitter for date nights. What nature didn't give him intellectually it made up for with common sense and I could trust his decision making completely. He also could play indoor and outdoor games non-stop and had the energy to keep up with the boys. He'll be going to Bobby's wedding too. After they were 2 their grandmother was always willing to keep them for weekends as often as I would let her.

You have to have time off! When they are in elementary school the social schedule and sports and thing keep you running non-stop and the time off is even more essential.

And since I feel like all I do is complain and annoy here, I'm having a pretty good day. I cleaned out anything suspect from the fridge, made a meal plan for the week, made a shopping list, and did 2 loads of laundry while sorting the rest.

I really wish I had family close by who I could depend on for babysitting. Or close friends, for that matter.

Mom comes once a week as do my inlaws, but sometimes a sitter is still necessary and easier.
