Well, look at you. All dressed up in big sister's clothes.

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Because books.

I don't blame her, but I'm sorry he wound up on your doorstep again. And yeah, drunk driving is NOT bad luck.

Oh, I don't blame her, either. Not one bit. Her reaction is totally understandable.

Punishingly Intricate

Ugh, I'm sorry this is happening Steph. I don't think you're a monster at all. I imagine I'd feel the same if I were put in your position.

Teppy, you are not a monster. This person has been given opportunities and help and has squandered them - his choice. Time for tough love.

In completely other news - we had our first Denver Comic Con meeting of our volunteer services leadership team. My manager from the last con has shifted positions so we are restructuring our team a bit. They want two managers for the next con and my fellow coordinator and I were suggested to apply for those positions. K said she wanted to stay as a coordinator but that she would be happy to work under me. So I got promoted to manager.

They are going to post the other manager position and my old coordinator position. Will be interesting to see who applies. I'm honored and overwhelmed at the new role. Thankfully I'm friends with the two people I report to and both said they would walk me through my new responsibilities.

I'm just waiting to get him fed (Tim is making eggs right now) and then he has got to go. I'm definitely going grocery shopping as soon as I eat, because I do not want to deal with this at all.

It's super fortuitous that I started Prozac a while ago, because it really is keeping me from totally losing my shit or being paralyzed with stress. Yay, drugs.

Our wings are not tired.

Yes, calmly exiting to go grocery shopping is a good plan. When we have confrontations with #1 son DH has to exit and let me deal because it works better that way. Two people = ganging up on him. One on one works better.

Bonny, you and your friend are in my thoughts. I wish you both as much peace as possible through the balance of her life. You are extraordinarily lucky to have each other.

Peaceful passing wishes for your friend. It is so hard to say goodbye even when we know they deserve the peace and rest.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Love to you and your friend, bonny. You amaze me.

Yeah, no, Teppy, you're going to have to work a lot harder to earn the title "monster." At best you might be a "justifiably cranky pantsed boundary setter" or perhaps a "feral editor defending her den." I know those don't have the same historical weight of legend, but I've written to the Evil League of Evil and their response was quite firm. Apparently Bad Horse snorted so hard he inhaled a portion of his dessert and was coughing up alfalfa trifle for ten solid minutes.

Frankly I don't recommend writing again until you've lured at least three children to their death, or… ooo! I know! A good slow poisoning of someone who trusts you absolutely. They have a fondness for a classic done well.
