Go Awesome Doctor! Please help Teppy's brain weasels and her gall bladder. In other words, please continue to live up to your name.
Y'all, I just looked over to check on Jack and Crowley and they are sleeping curled up together. They have gotten along this past week, but this is new. And it melts my heart.
I hope the Awesome Doctor will have a good answer.
Yay for puppies getting a long.
I have therapy tomorrow with Mom. I'm nervous I don't know what she'll say but she wanted to say things with my therapist so I would hsve support.
I was going to have an individual session Thursday but I have a dentist appointment so I'm going to skip the extra therapy session. I am hoping the dentist will help alleviate my dental anxiety.
I have a new antidepressant, or I will whenever CVS fills it. I hope it works.
My stomach issue is unclear and stupid. Out of all the tests I've had, the only thing that's turned up is gallstones. But my pain is on the left side, which is atypical for gallbladder (but not unusual, if that makes sense), so Awesome Doctor said we can't know if the gallstones are the definitive cause of my stomach pain and nausea, and getting my gallbladder out might not help the pain and nausea. But what he did say is that, since I do have gallstones, they aren't going anywhere, and at some point it'll mean I'll need my gallbladder out. So he said that getting my gallbladder out soon-ish isn't a bad idea.
He sent a referral message to a surgeon he went to school with, and I guess I'll meet with the surgeon to see what he recommends. I'm still really torn.
If it's bound and determined to go walkabout, it might be easier on you if you do it before the thing gets really hostile.
Well, I have already met my insurance deductible for the year, so if I'm going to get it yanked out, I oughta do it this year.
I do get a little charge every time I do something health-related and it costs me nothing because I met my OOP max. I hope the insurance company curses every time a bill comes in and I don't owe anything, and they have to pay it.
I guess what I'm saying is, why not get your gallbladder taken out to spite the insurer?
why not get your gallbladder taken out to spite the insurer?
That feels like an extreme way to spite them. Though I might as well do it when I won't have to pay.
The new antidepressant's price is prohibitively expensive, so now we have to figure out another option. I'm really fucking discouraged about it. I know I need to be on meds ASAP, but I'm allergic to an increasingly large number of antidepressants, and others (like Wellbutrin) make me batshit crazy.
I know this is only a setback, but I cried all the way home from CVS because it feels like a daunting challenge to figure out.
Is the Nexium not helping anymore, Steph? But yay for Awesome Doctor and the antidepressants! Ack -- sorry for the sky-high price. Fingers crossed you can find something affordable that works well.
Good luck tomorrow, askye!
That sucks, Teppy. I tried adding one to mine when I finally got the energy up to go to the doctor. And it kinda helped but the side effects were awful. So we tried tapering off that and upping the dose of the original one. I'm thinking it's somewhat helpful but not enough. Still have brain weasels on occasion.
