Walking I get. But power walking? Why not just run for a shorter time?

Spike's Bitches 49: As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm glad your therapist could help.

The Ativan has definitely dialed down the distress. I think I'm good until therapy tomorrow morning.

Librarian Warlord

Good to hear, Steph. I'm glad you reached out here, and to your therapist. Both are okay, always.

I mean, I don't feel bouncy and perky, or even particularly chill, but the hyperventilating and sobbing is over, and that's good enough for right now.

I definitely need to talk to Awesome Doctor about restarting antidepressants (I posted about this on a FB filter earlier), but my endo/colonoscopy is Monday, and it's a known thing that GI issues can affect mental health because 90%-95% of your serotonin is made in/hangs out in the GI tract. But if your GI tract is jacked up, it stands to reason that it's going to affect your serotonin and therefore your mental health. And my GI tract is hella jacked up.

I'd like to wait until after the endo/colonoscopy to see what treatment I need for my stomach, and how well it works, before I restart antidepressants, because starting 2 things at the same time makes it hard to tell which thing is working.

I mean, at this point, I wouldn't be able to see Awesome Doctor until next week anyway, so I'm just formulating a plan. Hopefully my therapist can help me with that plan so I can get through the next week and see how everything shakes out with my Very Bad No Good Stupid Expensive Stomach and then see about antidepressants.

Sounds like good planning Teppy. I hope that the GI medicine will start helping you right away.

Our wings are not tired.

That sounds like a good plan. I had read about the GI/serotonin thing before and is absolutely could be tied in to the current issues. Sorry the body is being stupid and complicating your life!

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm glad you are feeling a bit better, Steph. I hope you get useful answers from the upcoming tests.

And thanks to everyone who was able to be here for Steph in real time. It is so awesome to see how buffistas have each other's back.
