Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Have a three day weekend. Daycare is open on Monday, so Mr. S is going. Gary and I hope to go to the movies that afternoon.

Meanwhile, we're supposed to get "wintry mix" tomorrow. Bleah.

I'm at work tomorrow but hopefully I'll miss the snow and it'll be my boss's problem on Sunday.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Meeting is now at the 2-hour mark.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Juliebird, that sounds terrible. Can they do that? I hope you get a better situation soon. But landlords who are off missionarying do not sound like what you need, even assuming it's legit.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Juliebird, is there a tenants rights org in your area?

My day at work started with this announcement. "We're doing an hour of blood."

I wouldn't say no to curse-removal with a side of coq au vin, personally.

I don't think dinner is commonly considered a sacrifice.

Well, unless you're a god. Or a volcano.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aren't sacrificial animals commonly eaten?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I would think that it defeats the point of a sacrifice to the gods if you eat it. Then it's just dinner and a show.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Internet says in Santeria, you eat the chicken after sacrificing the blood, and in ancient Judaism, mostly priests ate the meat.
