Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

IIRC, in ancient Greek paganism, certain portions of the meat were burned as an offering for the gods, but the rest became a feast for the worshippers.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I would think that it defeats the point of a sacrifice to the gods if you eat it. Then it's just dinner and a show.

This was my thought but I can't say I've ever researched the topic, so there you go.

The best sacrifice would be the finest animal from your flock or herd, one you would want to breed from or sell. Instead, you give it to your god. The remains afterwards are secondary--and a great source of food for the priests. I imagine the waste of food really got in the way of proper holy feelings. A lot of time, the offerings were burnt, so not all sacrifices were dinner.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

The gods enjoy the smell, the priests eat the meat was a pretty common practice iirc.

From reading, not personal experience.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

My day at work started with this announcement. "We're doing an hour of blood."

At least you do lights! An hour of blood on stage for costumes is a lot more in cleanup after! I hate blood-- I always suggest red ribbons. Or, just nothing-- lets pretend!

re: Emerald City. Dorothy has learned the Ghostbusters lesson. When someone asks if you are a god, you say yes!

It was actually without actors, so no costumes! And they draped plastic over a ladder to minimize cleanup on the set.

Been there, done that. When I did props I had to find an Old English Sheepdog for Camelot, a Chowsie for Gypsy, and a horse to pull the Wells Fargo Wagon for The Music Man (at Starlight).

Our wings are not tired.

The late night for me Buffista skimming quick to see what's up apparently involves blood sacrifices and probably should be reread when more alert.
