'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I am back at home, being reminded of all the stuff that still needs to get done, that Getting Ready For The Trip, and Taking The Trip got shoved off for.

Trip back was very unexceptional. Aside from the "new" Tappan Zee bridge, which has gone up and is already in operation (at least one span of it) since the last time I drove down that way (how many years since Mom died?) and also since I was using Waze, which I didn't have the last time either, it took me through CT over the Merritt Parkway, which has the damnedest set of Art Deco bridges, each one different, as though they'd held a design competition and then decided that they were all so fabulous they'd just build them all.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

My turn for dance practice tonight. Our group has a gig Saturday. Hopefully a set list will be made before then...

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oooh. I want to see! I love bridges.

information libertarian

I loooove the Merritt Parkway. It's stressful to drive (it was built a long time ago so there are stop signs on the entrance ramps and it's curvy and narrow and everyone still drives 80 miles an hour in their BMWs) but it's super-pretty.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

You know yesterday was my birthday because it took three tries to get an IV at urgent care yesterday. And I don't think the migraine is 100% gone. So we're trying the stab in the dark treatment, antibiotics for a possible sinus infection.

Did I mention that my neurologist is on vacation this week? Because of course she is.

(If you didn't see on FB, I have rescheduled this year's birthday to some future date.)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

That sounds like a very bad birthday, Dana. I'm sorry.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Hope the antibiotics help, Dana. And have a great rescheduled birthday.

Grr. My surgeon just cancelled my appointment for Friday. ltc has camp next week, and I was really hoping to start an exercise program at her school, but now I won't have the all clear to exercise in time.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I turned 42, so I'm tempted by the 24th. That makes it on a Sunday, which is nice for not-working purposes.
