information libertarian

I loooove the Merritt Parkway. It's stressful to drive (it was built a long time ago so there are stop signs on the entrance ramps and it's curvy and narrow and everyone still drives 80 miles an hour in their BMWs) but it's super-pretty.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

You know yesterday was my birthday because it took three tries to get an IV at urgent care yesterday. And I don't think the migraine is 100% gone. So we're trying the stab in the dark treatment, antibiotics for a possible sinus infection.

Did I mention that my neurologist is on vacation this week? Because of course she is.

(If you didn't see on FB, I have rescheduled this year's birthday to some future date.)

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

That sounds like a very bad birthday, Dana. I'm sorry.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Hope the antibiotics help, Dana. And have a great rescheduled birthday.

Grr. My surgeon just cancelled my appointment for Friday. ltc has camp next week, and I was really hoping to start an exercise program at her school, but now I won't have the all clear to exercise in time.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I turned 42, so I'm tempted by the 24th. That makes it on a Sunday, which is nice for not-working purposes.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh Dana, ugh, sj.

My neighbor kid who has watched my cat before is going to be out of town the same time I am, so I have to find another option. I bet my other (adult) neighbors would look in on him for free, but I feel bad asking them to do the litter box. So I guess I need to find an actual cat sitter, which just feels like a pain! And probably more expensive than the neighbor kid? Hmph.

Punishingly Intricate

Oh man I almost got in a screaming match with two separate old white people in line to board my flight who were complaining about pre-boarders.

The man said "I'm sorry to say it but it's like the Starbucks in Philadelphia"

And I repeated, incredulous, and he looked at me like I was agreeing and I was like WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??!!

I was inarticulate with rage so all I could come up wth was "you're what's wrong wth America."

Then another lady next to me complained about the same thing and when I shut her down said I was nasty. Uggggggghhhh

Now I have to somehow concentrate and get a shut ton of work done on this flight.
