Stray cat update (he's a ladies' cat!): coworker found a neighbor to take it in, so no kitty for me.

In the ongoing saga of the house we've been trying to get, it looks like the shady agent did successfully get it into escrow with another buyer, so we most likely have lost the house. The only way this would change is if, by some miracle, the offer falls apart with the other buyer and the house drops out of escrow.
Dear lord, house buying is complicated.

How can the agent sell the house to other buyers against the wishes of the sellers that want to accept your offer?
