I mean, let's say you did kill us. Or didn't. There could be torture. Whatever. But somehow you found the goods. What would your cut be?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Just make sure he can replace the screens without having to totally replace the frames;

Oh, interesting. I don't think these frames are that great, either, but it's good to know what variables to think about.

Sara, did your folks remember your birthday? hope it was excellent.

Sox, happy birthday!

I forgot to bring scissors and I forgot to cut the papers I needed. Damn.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, wow, Zen, that is low. How do renegotiate though? "You did a great job, I don't think you charged me enough"? Call it a tip?

I told him, you're underselling yourself; how about twice that? He was like, uh... sure? He probably thinks I'm crazy.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Zen, you can always hire him to do more things, now that you've encouraged him to charge more.

Oh, I have a list of things I want to hire him to do. If he gets this job done. Which, so far so good; he doesn't seem baffled by the workings of a screen door, unlike the previous handyman.

Happy belated, sarameg!

Happy birthday, Sox!

In other news, I have scheduled an appointment for someone to come look at my crap and tell me how much it'll cost to move it with a corporate discount. I remembered to cancel my monthly transit pass before it reloaded for August. I'm going to take another load of stuff for donation on Saturday.

and the new door doesn't fit any better than old one did. ahahhaha

I knew it. Whatever. Just nail it in there. I don't even expect to be able to actually slide open the sliding door, I just want the cat kept in and the bugs kept out.

A curse upon the idiot guy who destroyed the original, perfectly working door. Nah, never mind, he's an idiot, there's nothing worse I can curse him with.

Punishingly Intricate

Happy birthdays, Sox & sara!!!

In case anyone was worried, the Professor is back to her old self! She just came up on the kitchen bar to say hi and jumped off the counter when I said "uh uh." Her brother will only leave the counter if I toss him off it or, sometimes, if I flick water on him. Then he gets right back up.

I can't believe it's almost 1. What did I do all morning??

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay, Professor, way to bounce back!

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

A week ago a Flight for Life helicopter crashed, killing the pilot. Yesterday was the escort moving his body to the site for the memorial. Emergency Services vehicles lined the route and the overpasses in an emotional salute to the pilot and community. CJ's search and rescue team was invited to take over one of the overpasses along with a fire department. CJ said it was one of his most emotional experiences.
