I'm very much looking forward to next week - working half days Wednesday and Thursday, taking Friday and Monday off, then I'm in Salt Lake for Work Tuesday and Wednesday. Yes, those last two are work days, but it will still feel like a week off. Sorta.

Punishingly Intricate

Cupcakes in ice cream cones was my best friend's go to baking trick before she went vegan and gf. So cute and delicious!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Super cute!

Hey, didn't someone here used to be NovaChild? I just saw someone by that name commenting on Serious Eats and it rang a bell.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Somebody was. Gris, maybe?

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I have a twitter question. Some people's usernames have started showing up like (((name))). I'm assuming they're not self-hugging. (I could be wrong.) Does anyone know what's up?

This was the first time I've done a mail-in ballot for an election. It's weird not having to go to a church that smells like mothballs and/or urine.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I just had to look it up. It's a tactic used by neo-nazis to identify Jewish people. So people both Jewish and non-Jewish have started using it to defiantly self-identify.

Well that sucks (the neo-nazi angle, not the defiance). Thanks, Dana.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would like to hug myself.

Oh, in a really tacky pop music chain of association, I am reminded that I heard "Blurred Lines" being played at an outdoor event last weekend. I didn't think we were still doing that! (And it sure is fun, especially when you can't hear it well enough to get the lyrics.)

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am a firm NO on Blurred Lines.
