Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It really is the worst.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yeah, but there's still that bit where you start to groove before you remember how terrible it is.

This is me. Damn if it doesn't get me every time. (But I'm also on record as loving "Baby It's Cold Outside" despite how rapey it is. I recognize that some shit is problematic but has a good melody.)

This is what I'm saying! I forgot how good the music is.

information libertarian

Our family solution is to groove to the Weird Al version, "Word Crimes." (Bonus: dorky grammar jokes.)

"Word Crimes" is AWESOME. And it should not be surprising that a bajillion people sent it to me (or tagged me on FB) when it came out.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I may just stick to "Got to Give it Up."

Well, I've had "One More Day" stuck in my head thanks to Broadway Karaoke, but Marvin Gaye is a contender to dislodge it.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I find "King Tut" to be a fine balm for earworm-frazzeled thoughts.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Had my annual physical. Triglycerides are up again, but I'm otherwise in good health.(In hindsight, maybe it wasn't a good idea to schedule the fasting blood work for the day after a convention.)
