I just had to look it up. It's a tactic used by neo-nazis to identify Jewish people. So people both Jewish and non-Jewish have started using it to defiantly self-identify.

Oh, in a really tacky pop music chain of association, I am reminded that I heard "Blurred Lines" being played at an outdoor event last weekend. I didn't think we were still doing that! (And it sure is fun, especially when you can't hear it well enough to get the lyrics.)

This is me. Damn if it doesn't get me every time. (But I'm also on record as loving "Baby It's Cold Outside" despite how rapey it is. I recognize that some shit is problematic but has a good melody.)

"Word Crimes" is AWESOME. And it should not be surprising that a bajillion people sent it to me (or tagged me on FB) when it came out.
