We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Wow, everyone's busy here!

And so am I and I don't think I've fully caught up.

But look, I have cabinets! [link]

SO EXCITE.

I was talking, after letting the kids in to get a snack, to R, the new tenant for E&E( and mom of E&E's son's best friend) and first Randy was out walking his dog & stopped to chat, then Rodney was coming home & stopped to thank me for some info, so I introduced him to them...and R was all I LOVE THIS NEIGHBORHOOD even as she's got two extra kids after a long day.

I hope we're making a good impression :)

Consular, nice! I've thought about white beadboard a lot for cabinet when I eventually redo my kitchen.

Hil, I was afraid for a second that story was going to have a much worse ending!!

Yeah, like "because she was pretty and white, they let her off with a warning"

Woo, cabinets!

Here is the style of sofa I determined was the most comfortable and had the softest fabric: [link]

I need to decide on what size, though. I like the idea of a reversible storage chaise, but then I'd probably want to get a chair since the sofa is smaller. The showroom had the left-arm angled chaise, and it's a little weird looking but it's really comfortable.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I got to start my day with breakfast with Kat and her family (not news, but the twins are still cuties), and now I get to eat pie from the breakfast place.

YAY

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Long day of travel here. We are now in Philadelphia, as our agency is in Pennsylvania. The birth mother, who lives in Iowa, was referred to the agency. Since the agency doesn't have direct ties to Iowa, we dealt with local lawyer. The interstate compact from Iowa to Pa was completed yesterday, and now we have to wait for the compact from Pa. to MD to be completed.

We could have stayed in Iowa until all the compacts were completed, but we were frankly rather tired of Iowa.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Cabinets, yay!

I like that sofa a lot. I totally covet storage ottoman type things.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

But look, I have cabinets!

Groovy! New kitchen is an awesome investment!

I am crazy ass tired. How does that keep happening? It's not like I did much today.

Wow Sheryl, that's a lot with a new baby!!

I am feeling melodramatic and weepy, and then realized it may have more to do with only consuming 400 calories today, and less to do with reality being horrid. I hope. (Trying to be rational. Still feel weepy. No one wants to dance with me! What is wrong with meeeeeee??? Nobody loves me, everybody hates me...worms. Wish I had a root. Etc.)
