Thank you, Suzi. I closed the tab and returned to sane levels of want.

Yikes, Matt. Scary commute.

We do get a fair amount of hawks, but more vultures. The crows and ravens come and go. I haven't seen any squirrels hereabouts, but there are burrowing rodents of some sort in the cow pastures, good hunting for hawks, kites, etc.

Our inspection was not great. It is SO MUCH WORK to buy a house. Having long and complicated conversations with mr. flea is not the least part of the work. We have such entirely different styles. You'd think we'd have gotten better at this after having been a couple for 18 years, but apparently not. /is tired

Get-through-the-process~ma, flea.

My cube-neighbor is getting a new keyboard drawer (or somethinga dn probably other stuff) which will be good for her I'm certain but means I'm hearing power tools all day. That doesn't always annoy me, but today it sure does.

brillig

We'd see deer tracks in the parking lot snow at the old building. When I was doing the 6 AM shift on Sundays, I'd occasionally see deer actually browsing through our bushes.

Bummer about the inspection, flea. I hope you'll be able to get the house stuff worked out soon, so you and the family can get settled.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I don't know about the pointy ends of the flossing sticks, but someone once managed to escape from prison using dental floss. (Really - I don't have to make this stuff up.) He took dental floss - lots and lots of dental floss - and made himself a rope to escape with; I don't remember if it was just a rope or he made it into a rope ladder. Whichever it was, he got out of prison with it.

They stopped handing out packages of dental floss after that. I think they'd give prisoners a measured length ... and probably collected the used lengths (ick).

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

flea - please share you experience, either here or message me. I'm hoping to be ready to do this on my own. I don't have a Mr. Suziq to discuss the process with and my past home buying experiences are YEARS ago and in hindsight I just let it happen instead of being a part of the process. Not how I want to go forward.

tl;dr - please keep sharing.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Agree with Suzi, but George Winston is an excellent choice! He once did a blurb for my husband's piano piece.

Liese, that makes me feel even more validated in my love for the musician who inspired me to take piano lessons during high school.
