I'd love to see Copenhagen. Some of the buildings my great-grandpa worked on(he was a stonemason, like Tony Soprano's grandpa) might still be there.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Hiring-ma to all the Buffistas.
I'd also love to see Copenhagen. I'm actually feeling super twitchy and in need of travel. I need to pick a place and just buy tickets to go to there, I guess.
I made my second trip to a Coinstar machine today. $13 this time. I have another giant bag of pennies to take in, and then I will be done. Where did all this spare change come from? Did it breed like Tribbles? I'm planning to take more old electronics to Best Buy this weekend, so at least I can feel good about getting things out of the house.
Attitude in toilet.
Ha ha, yeah. I know that feel.
The thing is, for the most part, I love my job. I just don't love being treated like shit by my employer and having a crazy trying year at the same time. Bottom line is that I want my job fellows to hurt the way I am due to my employer and that makes me feel like ass. But has to be done and I'm doing it. So pretty much sign me up for 'oops, don't care, not my problem' until the new year and then some.
And now I need to wake to my alarm at 6. Fuck.
Fingers crossed for ita and Calli, and Plei I hope something lands in your lap soon.
Am I the only one around here who pictures Danny Kaye singing "Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen!" for Jilli?
Just hearing or reading the word cues it, Burrell. But then it usually segues into "There once was an ugly duckling..." so there you go. "And then we drink!"
Which we will do when Calli, ita, and Plei are all gainfully employed.
Me, too please? Uber doesn't really count as a job.
Although, I DO get paid today.
So…
I was gone 2 weeks and essentially nothing got done that was supposed to happen. That had to happen.
People seem to think 1. I care and 2. I'm going to do something about it.
And IT, with your urgent new software installs and training and horseshit? Yeah, I'm not gonna be able to do that. Bite me.
But hey, I got a raise.
Of 1%.
Now have unofficially gotten word of 2 people leaving CSC come the new year. One is in our branch (and we're kerfucked on the work she does) and another is pretty much one of the guys the mission will cut off their own heads to keep, so I'm guessing he's just jumping contracts.
The fun begins.
I have some good CJ!school news. We met with an advisor at the community college he wants to go to and the Fire Science program is not competitive entry, so he is all set to schedule classes next spring for the fall.
He also got his ACT scores back and he scored a 27. His school average was 22. The advisor was thrilled with his score and really underlined that the AA program he is looking at is fully transferable to a 4 year degree at another local college. And with his smarts, he should really plan on getting a 4 year degree eventually.
Today we met with his HS advisor to updates his 2nd semester classes. His only required class is College Prep Writing. But he needs at least 4 other classes to be considered a full time student so now he has Adventure Aide (he has TA'ed in this class multiple times), Sports Training, Sports Medicine, and Theater. Rough schedule, eh? Actually the Sports Medicine will be more rigorous than the others.
That is great news, Suzi! I'm sure he's thrilled and you are too! 27 is a really good score on the ACT, too, if I recall correctly.
(You didn't get lost in all the hijinks over in Bitches; I saw you!)
