I did, too! And that is excellent news! Is he happy about it?

Yes. Such a change from a year ago. The college advisor suggested he get in the habit of two hours of studying for every classroom hour. He is not a studier (is that a word?), so that will be a challenge.
Personally, I'm thrilled. He got a taste of scholastic praise (based on his ACT scores). I'm hoping that will provide some inspriation to prepare for the rigors of college. Just cause it is a community college doesn't mean it won't be tough.
Awesome, Suzi! Here's hoping he likes that taste of success and craves more!
That is great Suzi.
Adventure Aide, Sports Training, and Sports Medicine? Dang, my high school didn't have anything like those! Not that I probably would've taken them anyway, but still...
That's terrific, Suzi!
Excellent, Suzi!
Yay for good news!
These past two days, Chumley has been drinking water like it's going out of style. I just used Minet's glucometer and his blood sugar is 340 (if I did it right) which is Not Good At All. Vets office is booked up today, but I can call at 8 am tomorrow for an appointment when they get a cancellation.
Did somewhere a Detect Money chip go off in my bank account?
In other news, my desktop computer now crashes as it runs a disk verification process.
I'm staying home from tutoring this afternoon, as the disaster area that I'm projecting around me would probably inspire a student to drop out.

I just put 4 new tires on the Echo (and it needs a new serpentine belt ASAP) and the kitty's ingrown claw was a $100 vet trip (admittedly, close to half that was the antibiotic, which was expensive because I opted for the injection that lasts 10-14 days, rather than having to pill the cat twice a day for 14 days, because THAT is where paying extra is totally worth it). Plus, you know, Christmas. So I feel you.
My monitor is broken. I can't use my PC. Luckily I use it for unattended purposes as well (monitors for ahems to upload) and I can still do that.
Tuesday I had a doctor's appointment in the afternoon. I left my house keys in the car in the downstairs parking lot. During the appointment, the pain escalated so much that he sent me to urgent care. Who sent me to the ER. By the time I got out between 1 and 2, parking was locked, and I forgot anyway until I got home.
Polgara wasn't accessible, so I finally worked out to call Burrell and they sheltered and fed me. at 7 or so am I got another Uber to the car, and the parking lot was open, with no overages in charge! The goal was to make it home before 8, because I had two calls loosely scheduled before my 9:30.
Didn't make it home until well after 8, but didn't have to take the call in the car, thankfully. And then they delayed the interview until 11, so a lot of wasted agitas. BUT I got to watch SPN before it, which helped with the rabbiting heart trying to climb out my throat.
Now....waiting game.
Never mind I just had to leave after my procedure this morning AMA and in tears. It already hurts. This wasn't supposed to be this soon. And fuck you, medical centre, it's perfectly reasonable to have no one to pick you up. COME ON.
