Steph, or anyone else, do you just eat the smoothie? I've tried a few times but my tummy tends to want actual solid food or it doesn't believe there's been breakfast.
My breakfast is just the smoothie, but Pete has toast with his.
'Out Of Gas'
Every year we watch the Charlie Brown special, do the Snoopy dance, wish everybody a Merry Thanksgivukkahmas, and thank our Secret Santas in the good riddance thread. Which is this one, in case you were wondering. Out you go, 2013!

Jilli, have you tried coconut oil in yours? If so, does it change the texture appreciably? (If not, ignore this.)
I haven't. I use a spoonful of the Cocao Bliss stuff, which has some coconut oil in it, but not enough to make a difference, IMO.
I loved coconut oil in mine when I was doing them. SO yummy. I also used chia seeds which get bigger in your tummy and fill you up more. Or so the legend goes. I choose to believe I have a massive Chia pet growing in my belly.
Aims, did you melt the coconut oil into liquid first, or would that be pointless and silly, since I'm going to toss it into a blender with cold milk and frozen fruit, thus re-solidifying it?
I just spooned it out and threw it in. There were a couple of times it went in liquid because it was summer and it melted and it made no difference.
Did it change the texture of the smoothie noticeably? (I'm only asking because the green smoothies link that Jilli posted has a page that talks about coconut oil in a general way, and mentions adding it to smoothies, and says it could give the smoothie a funky texture.)
I never thought it changed the texture overmuch.
My very favorite - and most filling - smoothie had spinach, strawberries, peanut butter, whey protein, chia seeds, coconut oil, and chocolate almond milk.
Mine is spinach, frozen berry medley, milk (cow variety), flax seed, and whey protein. I figure some coconut oil is probably a good idea, for various health reasons. I'll have to try that in my next one.
I've had similar smoothies for breakfast two days running now. I MISS MY BUTTERED ROLL SO MUCH I COULD DIE.
