Happy Birthday, Kate!
Five minutes or less tasks, kitchen: wipe down lower cabinet fronts, clean out the toaster crumb tray and counter behind the toaster, clean the outside of the range hood, clean the gaskets on the fridge and freezer, clean the facings inside the fridge and freezer (makes you feel all virtuous when you haven't *actually* cleaned out the fridge or freezer), if you have a lidded trashcan, scrub the lid, wipe down the outside of the can. Polish the faucets and base, if there is one, wipe down the backsplash. Wipe clean the knife block or the outside of the spoons & spatulas jar, if yours is on the counter. Better yet, empty, wash and dry before restoring tools. I usually do one or another of these while waiting for the coffee to brew.
Hmm. It's October 24th, and while it's possible, I'm unlikely to be employed before Thanksgiving.
Should I try NANOWRIMO this year? It's probably my only chance until I retire...
We're in a gated community, so general curb scavenging is not an option.
Ohhh. That's a huge bummer. At least as far as getting rid of shit. Me, I'm worried about calling the city for Large Trash Pickup (TV, treadmill, broken vacuum cleaner...) because you have to do it a day in advance, and I'm afraid all the stuff will be gone before they get there. I guess they must be used to that, though.
Do it, Consuela. Even if you just set a specific goal rather than a whole novel.
Actually, I might do that, too. Hmm.
Happy birthday, Kate!
Happy birthday, Kate!
There is a woman on this episode of Family Feud whose name is Malaise.
Ha!
Ouch, ita. Yeah, that's all I got.
Dana, I would see what Freecycle can do today and take the rest to recycling tomorrow.

Go for it!
It's going to be National Revise a Novel Month for me.
Kate, Happy birthday!
I *could* do Nano, but I've got to have wisdom teeth out on the tenth(Blech! Also, kinda scary, even though I only got two) and I don't know how much writing I could do that week, and I've already tried it twice and never really got anything I used.
NaNoWriMo is too much pressure for me.
I sign up for NaNoWriMo, then my lizard brain sticks out its tongue and yells "Can't make me!"
I've got laundry in, and have done some uncluttering that wasn't on the list. My back still hurts and it's giving me a headache, so I'm thinking the tub scrub will not happen.
But I will get to the other items; I will just do them REALLLLYY SLOOOWLLYY. The back meds have rendered me sleepy and molasses-y. But I do so love the smell of lemon oil.
I'm also waiting for the iPod to charge so I can get some dusting/sweeping tunage going. I've done 1 20/10 clean so far.
Baby steps...
