Natter 72: We Were Unprepared for This
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
The venue was really 5 minutes away from my house, but I definitely could have gotten there earlier! And for a daytime, not-that-fancy wedding? Easy.
The wedding was so nice! And now over. Perfect. Note to self: Personalized conversation hearts for a favor. Local!
Necco!
Yup! Love them.
I didn't Necco was a Boston thing. Conversation hearts are a great favor!
New England Candy COmpany!
Ah!
We had no wedding favors. We were young and hadn't been to a lot of weddings yet (ours was the first among our friends, by a few years), and it didn't even occur to me as something you were supposed to do. Also, my dad did most of the planning because my mom was so ill at the time. (And it was a great wedding! But he wouldn't have thought of them either.)
Sometimes now I fantasize about a big anniversary party, where I could do some of the wedding things I would have done at the time, had I been older and more me, if that makes sense.
It makes total sense.
And you know, favors -- eh. I just ate the candy and threw away the box.
I actually love that idea, Amy.
As they say, youth is wasted on the young. Sometimes, in my officiant experience, weddings are wasted on the newlyweds.
Oh dear. I just found most of the Fashion Week shows online. I could be here a while.
