And the thing is, I like my evil like I like my men: evil. You know, straight up, black hat, tied to the train tracks, soon my electro-ray will destroy metropolis BAD.

Those bars look delicious. I've been to a couple in Seattle but do t know why i haven't been to the others! Possibly because they aren't in my neighborhood. ;). But I have been to the one in Minneapolis, I met up with a friend there!

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Thanks, guys. I think I'll offer $300 and hope that's not too cheap. I don't want to shortchange her, but this trip is already costing us a fortune...

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Pfft. 7 in Seattle and 1 in San Francisco? Bullshit. And they didn't even get the best one in SF. Invalid.

3 in New Orleans, though, that sounds about right.

Awesome cocktails sounds great! Well done, Tom Scola.

Me, I got home from work, ready to feed/walk the dog and then run out to dinner with some friends--to discover disastrous dog digestive failure ALL OVER the house. Well, no, not all over, because she missed the ceramic tile floor in the kitchen and instead hit the two newest carpets, multiple times.

So, no dinner with friends for me. Instead I spent half an hour cleaning disgusting things off the floor, opened a bottle of wine, and ate some vegetable gyoza from TJs. Not quite the same thing.

I am still recovering from surgery, but man, I am wiped out at the end of each day, and yet I wake up at 3 AM. Bah.

Oh, Suela, dang, nobody deserves that. This is the dog that won't be crated though, right?

Yah, she's not much good with being crated. Tends to chew on the bars and break her teeth, and it's generally just bad. If there are other dogs around she's okay, but I can't crate her alone in the house.

Someday I will have a non-neurotic dog that can be crated. Sigh.

And now it's time to go to bed again. At least I managed to convince BofA that I was NOT DEAD so I'm hoping my credit record isn't ruined.

Our wings are not tired.

That sucks SO much, Consuela, I am sorry! I thought I had it bad coming home to a skunked Cayenne. I'd rather deal with skunk over digestive issues any day. It's just one thing after another for you and I am sorry. I hope you're back to full strength energy soon and can enjoy your bionic ear.

Calli I am sorry you're having to look for a job! I know you've been interested in possibly moving anyway, but it always sucks to have those decisions made for you.

I don't know if this appeals to any job seekers here, but I did read that American Express is hiring a TON of people for remote jobs. You do have to have a verifiable set-up at home (I think a consistently quiet place, a separate telephone line, and strong internet, but maybe they set you up with something?). Anyway the key search term to use is Axcess.

Thanks, Sarameg. That Ed specialist position looks intriguing.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh no, Consuela, that's too bad. You deserve a fun evening out.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My new sofa is coming tomorrow! But I still have the old one, and just saw that the store delivery policy says their people can't move existing furniture. What do you think are the odds that they will take my old sofa out anyway, if I tip them extra? Also, how much? $20 each?
