I feel ya shrift, I really, really do.
I'm just burnt out on all levels. Friend asked me (specifically about work) when it would let up. "When I get used to it." Everything feels that way right now.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Honestly, doing that might be my dream job.

Because everything's on fire? Yeah, I just got back from 5 days off and I'm already overwhelmed again.
I was told that I needed to be more visible. Now I'm too visible and everyone's sending me everything.
The news is warning that if you see any alligators around thanks to the flooding, not to mess with them. Or snakes.
I think that if I saw any alligators even if there *weren't* any flooding, I wouldn't mess with them. Just to be sure.
Presumably that's the sensible course, but this is Texas. (Also, the alligators may be in unexpected places, like streets.)

This made me laugh SO HARD.

Timelies all!
The power went out here at some point last night, and was out for long enough to mess up my alarm clock, so I overslept. I should have realized something was wrong when I looked at my clock the first time Nova woke me up, it read 3:00, but the sun was out. Instead I went back to sleep. Ugh.
Oh god, I just remembered the flash flood warning that made my phone go nuts after 11 last night. WTF.
