Went to a second Sunday in a row to a UU church (I mean, it is a church building. Do they call it that? I don't know), and I think this might work out. I don't feel right in Churchchurch, but I've missed the community aspect, especially since moving from Balto. I think this is good!

I am making venison enchiladas for the games today, so I think I can resist the apple pie cake? I think.
I made a double batch so half will freeze. It smells so good right now I need to go pull it out of the oven and eat it all right this minute.

I don't know, venison and apple sound like they would pair well. Those enchiladas sound pretty great on their own, though. Yay double batch!
I have roasted pecans and am now simmering duck eggs in tea and roasting butternut squash. It's all Autumnal in my kitchen today.

My recommendation for the apple pie cake is to replace 1 cup of the oil with sour cream
Oh, I like that idea. It's absolutely delicious but it is very straightforward, so a little tang would be nice.
