In looking at the stuff for sale at this vintage market, I was thinking it would be perfect for getting rid of some of the rest of my grandmother's stuff, but come to find out, you have to sign up for four weeks to be a vendor (they are every week in the summer), and we don't have that much stuff (or interest in doing it!). Ah well. It's a pain in the ass, because so much of the stuff that is left is mid-level vintage-y. Like multiple pairs of gloves that I saw someone selling for $8-$10 today. Or random china, not a set. Cute wood kitchen canisters that I bet I could get $25 for. A hassle to eBay, but not good for a yard sale.

Jesse, maybe one of the other vendors who is signed up for the vintage market would be interested in purchasing some of your grandmother's things to re-sell there.
Jesse-- thanks so much! And that looks awesome, and hecka easy.
Someone needs to hire me, so I can justify making this cake, and bring it into the office...
EAT IT ALL YOURSELF. That's what I'm doing! Not that that's the healthiest option ...
I've been craving ice cream for over 24 hours. That means my body is indicating a nutritional deficiency, right?
Absolutely.

Don't become one of those sad poster people for Ice Cream Deficiency. You can overcome it!
(Relatedly, is it just me, or have there been WAY fewer weight loss commercials on TV compared to a typical January [otherwise known as The Month Of The New Year's Resolutions]? I'm hypersensitive to those stupid commercials, and while I have seen some Weight Watchers commercials, it hasn't been very many. It just seems odd, for January.)
My recommendation for the apple pie cake is to replace 1 cup of the oil with sour cream - it comes out as a *very* close approximation to the Little Pie Company's sour cream apple walnut pie. (It would be even closer if you added walnuts, but I've never made it for a crowd without nut allergies to worry about.)
Oh yeah, I did that and it was fabu!
