Good lord, it's supposed to get down to -2 Thursday night here. Damn, we don't normally see things like that till January. And of course, it's snowing steadily currently. We're going to have ice ruts everywhere.

I am pleased that I actually got stuff done on my lunch run.

I downloaded a crapton of Sayer and Heyer ebooks last night thanks to the Kindle sale. I would like to go home now and start reading them.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.
Oh thank god -- my new boss emailed me about my first day, and she would be there by 8. I was like, "....so should I plan to be there at 8 [please say no, please say no]?" Luckily, she said that 9 is fine.
I can barely come up with an idea for my father, and as happens every year, it is suddenly a surprise that I have to come up with two ideas! Because it is also his birthday.

At least I was until I found out that a former student of mine was killed in a traffic accident. She was 26 and one of the kindest, most beautiful souls I've ever met.
