We have to see the chimp playing hockey! That's hilarious! The ice is so slippery, and, and monkeys are all irrational. We have to see this!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Suddenly I'm feeling kinda off. Muscle aches, stomach aches. I'm also cold, though I don't know if that's just me, or if it is cold up here.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I had that yesterday, Sheryl. I feel better today.

At least I was until I found out that a former student of mine was killed in a traffic accident. She was 26 and one of the kindest, most beautiful souls I've ever met.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh, that's terrible, aurelia.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, that's so sad. I'm sorry, aurelia.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh how sad, aurelia.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

What if a women's magazine editor edited a BBC news story about Syria?

To all my editor buffista friends.

brillig

There's a little black cat in my house who is very, very peeved. He looked out the front door--heavy, white, cold stuff that makes his paws hurt! He stomps to the back door, he knows it will be better out there. Halfway out the back door--It's back here too! Back to the front door, just in case the white stuff just moved--No!

He actually stomps and huffs when he's truly miffed. He's currently sitting in the hallway glaring at everyone who wants to get past.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Reminds me of Heinlein's The Door into Summer.

Where do you come from? Where do you go? What is your scene, baby? We just gotta know.

So I mentioned I brought a whole bunch of slides home with me from Thanksgiving to be scanned?

You guys, my Mom used to be fab!
