I'm fascinated by the Time Banditesque symbolism of the hardest thing in my life (my only actual 'problem') represented by a yummy cake and then a piece of it is left behind. Only this time, instead of being ominously hidden away, it was transformed by loving energy.

I don't know. I'm objectively sucking right now and don't know how to pull out of it. And if I talk about it, with Tim or anyone, it has to start with a discussion about how much I'm sucking and the ways in which I'm sucking, and I don't want to have that conversation because it's shameful. So a lot of it is my stupid pride, I get that. And it's not helping me, I also get that.
It doesn't help that a friend told me, unsolicited (I'm paraphrasing here), "Yup, this is basically what your life is going to be from now on." She's not a psychic or a life coach so her "advice" (such as it is) is suspect. But it really didn't help.
