I think I went to one wedding that had alcohol before I was an adult. Most of the weddings were held at the church with the reception also at the church and mostly punch and light refreshments style rather than "real" food. Or they were held at someone's home.
I think I was in middle school and attended a fancy wedding where the couple married at the church and had the reception at the country club with carving stations and the like. I don't know how we knew the bride.
I am tired and cranky and was letting the crankiness out at work.
BUT, our overlords decided other stores are staying open until midnight or 24 hours until the 23rd, then we'll be open 7 am to midnight. We found out yesterday. I closed last night (got home around 11:30, probably got 4 hours of sleep), opened today. I switched shifts with someone tomorrow and close, but it means I'm driving home during part of the worst weather.
I'm slightly concerned they are going to decided we need to be open 24 hours over the weekend.
The money is really good so I can't complain too much.
Aww, my nephew in Texas just sent me a video thanking me for his presents.
Meanwhile....
Andi gave me silicone TARDIS Jell-o and baking molds for my Birthday in October.

Some gave me 50 gram Caffe Verona Coffee blocks infusions. They are these blocks infused with brewed coffee. It looks like they are designed for use with an expensive Verona coffee machine? Does anyone know how I can turn them into coffee without the machine, Or maybe I should regift them to someobody with a machine.
WHAT. I didn't see that when we were there! Maybe it hasn't made it to Ohio yet.
You totes magotes were lying about that food all year long thing, weren't you?
My wedding was only lightly moistened.
By design. Champagne toast only, morning wedding. Because booze = $$$ and having to have a bartender, and my brother's an inconsiderate drunk who makes my lush ass look like it tees and totes.
I went to a wedding last summer where the bride was Muslim and the groom was Southern Baptist. Both sets of parents wanted no alcohol at the wedding. The bride and groom wanted alcohol. They finally compromised on each guest getting one glass of wine for a toast.
It looks like I have to have a (most likely benign) cyst removed from my uterus sometime next month. Another delay in trying to get pregnant. I'm trying not to let all of this ruin the holidays for me, but since I already find the holidays to be very stressful, I'm mostly failing. My favorite part of the holidays is usually Christmas Eve with my family, but my uncle is still in and out of the hospital with lung problem, so once again this year, most of my family won't be there.
Today we have tickets to a play. So I'm hoping to be able to relax and enjoy that.
