[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh sj, not fun news. FWIW I had a benign cyst removed when I was about 30. It was done laproscopically. I was scared as it was my first surgery, but the recovery was surprisingly fast, well under a week. I will be sending you quick recovery~ma. Meanwhile yes, try to put the stress aside and enjoy the play.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Burrell, they're not even putting me under, just Valium. They think it is small enough that they can get it laparoscopically In the office. They said I should be feeling fine within a week of the procedure.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

sj,

Just a tip: bring a change of underwear and feminine napkins with you for after the procedure. They may tell you to do this. In which case your medical staff will be more thoughtful than mine was post uterine surgery.

Thanks. I've been bringing a change of underwear for all of these many tests I've had to go for, and the office where they do the procedure always has sanitary pads.

I did manage to have a lovely time in Providence with TCG today. Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike was very funny, and then we went for thin crust grilled pizza, walked around a bit and bought some panettone for relatives, and had dessert (lemon mousse cake) at my favorite little cafe. Even though I feel like some of my family's holiday traditions are disappearing, it's nice to shop in the same neighborhood my grandmother would have shopped in (at some of the same stores) and have some traditional foods.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Ugh, sj, that sucks. I'm sorry you have another hurdle to jump.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

erin_o said what I was thinking, sj. I'm sorry you have another hurdle to jump. May you clear it and be running the home stretch soon.

Thrive to spite them

sj I hope everything goes well.

I am dealing with my first ice storm, I know there are road closure some places but I don't have to go to work. Which is good, becuase my car is an ice block. I got one door open (so I could get something out of it) and then decided to wait and see how the day goes. I may go out there later and try to scrape some stuff off if it gets warmer.

I have power but a lot of people around here don't.
