Gabriel: Are you trying to destroy this family? Simon: I didn't realize it would be so easy.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm also trying JDate, but so far, none of the guys that I've messaged there have responded. And one guy that I messaged on OK Cupid responded with, "Wow, it's really brave for a girl to message someone on here!" which is starting to make me feel like I'm just doing this whole thing wrong.

I don't understand why people on OK Cupid send messages to people who live on the other side of the globe. Like, what do they expect to get out of that?

Thrive to spite them

I don't know it's weird.

YAY for paying off credit card.

My birthday is Thursday and I'm half way through finishing a job application. Part time. I need to get my start and end dates from my last job and look on my old computer for my resume.

I really need to dropbox that.

My birthday is on Thursday and I'm only having mild anxiety about applying for part time stocking position. Which I guess is progress. It's jsut something that a I don't know, a teenager shouuld be doing not a middle aged woman. WHich I guess I am at this point.

Although last week at therapy I stuck around and made a.. guess it's an art journal page.

"Their intentions are not your goals." And then later I was like "it should be expectations" but it works. I just have to remember it and try to embrace that.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Not OKCupid, but Biyi and I met through online dating, on an Aussie website, RSVP. For what it's worth, she approached me. (Her entire activity on the site was to send out that one message. She may have an unrealistic picture of the typical online dating experience.)

It must be easier dealing with women--I've certainly had a few "hi" messages or slightly weird ones, and plenty that were not to my preference, but nothing terrible, and I've been on a ton of first dates that were perfectly pleasant, even if they didn't inspire second dates. And dated a bunch of people.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

And, of course, this is in time to get 2 crowns on my chalk-like teeth.

Getting mine tomorrow! two of them. Two of the FOUR total they want me to do. Goddammit.

Our wings are not tired.

I have to figure out when I am going to do dental vacation. My neighbor went to visit family in Peru to get several thousand dollars worth of crowns for a couple hundred bucks. Another friend moved back to Ecuador last year and has said I am welcome to visit and go to his family dentist for about 5% of what is costs here. The price difference is so significant and really this is well established technology. The whole time to do it thing still gets in the way.

eta: askye, one foot in front of the other. You don't have to deal with the stress of some higher level position. Nothing wrong with part time or "teenager" positions. Bobby is making sandwiches and loving it while the politics and stress at the tech company he was at before was too much. Particularly since he needs part of his energy to be devoted to school.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

TCG is also in the chalk teeth club. He broke a tooth the other day on a peach.

I have been so good about taking my ADs, my allergy meds, and my acid reflux meds. It would be nice if any of them were working.
