Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Something about the way the bassinets are in such straight lines, with all the babies facing the same way, is freaking me out a bit. I can't explain exactly why.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

It just took about a half an hour for a fly to find its way through the open half of the window, when I had it trapped between the window and the roman blind.

Although I don't suppose I can make commentary on the idiocy of flies, when I just spent a half an hour watching a fly not get out a window.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yeah, but did the fly post about it on an online message board?

I dunno, probably. I mean he's probably going to die in a few hours or so because it's really cold out there, although I don't know how much longer he was going to survive in here (he'd been in here three days) and I don't know what he was doing still alive anyway, so he's probably, like, some extreme sports fly and he's got a bunch of fans he's blogging to right now. And anyway, he really wanted out.
