I just depressed the holy shit out of myself reading about the James Bulger murder case. SFW, but not safe for feels. And I had no idea that one of the murderers
had displayed recidivism as an adult and was back in prison, at least partly for his own stupid fucking protection.

I paid attention to this morning's muffin, and there's definitely pineapple, raisins, and carrot in it. Mmm. I bought two, and I'm about to cave and get another cup of tea and snarf the second.
I have salad to deal with my hunger. not really even salad, just a bag of lettuce with dressing.

Oddly, there were Krispy Kremes in Phoenix when I went there last, but there were, like, six locations that had closed down. I'm pretty sure I know where one was that hadn't, but by the time I realized it was the only one in the city, I was well on my way home. Woes.
I would also like chicken alfredo pasta for lunch. But I don't have chicken. Or alfredo. I just have the pasta, and honestly that's probably what's going to happen. I mean, I might have udon instead of penne, but the odds are in favor of some sort of noodle, because lo, I am lazy today.
We cancelled all our lessons for today thinking we had to travel to New Mexico, but we don't have to go until tomorrow. So we're chilling today instead. Whoot.

Tom, I agree with everyone that the years where you feel good about yourself will provide you your best years, age be damned.
I myself never really thought about my "best years," whether behind or before me. OK, not true. I hated high school and promised myself that my best years were still ahead of me. But as life has gone on, good and bad years have been more determined by the health and well being of those around me, not my age.
Speaking of, msbelle I am so sorry that it's been so hard for you. I have been there, back when my mom was ill, so I know that feeling of not having any time for me and my own needs. Whatever little space you can carve out for yourself, please do it. And know that there is lots of love for you.
Can you add something to the salad, msbelle? Maybe cheese or avocado? or ham?
I will say that there is nothing, NOTHING, that would make be be willing to relive 42. But so far, 43 has been pretty good.
