Jayne (Husband): Oh, I think you might wanna reconsider that last part. See, I married me a powerful ugly creature. Mal (Wife): How can you say that? How can you shame me in front of new people? Jayne (Husband): If I could make you purtier, I would. Mal (Wife): You are not the man I met a year ago.

Art Crawl!!!

I discovered that the vending machine here at work has Sea Salt & Vinegar Popchips! It's never had Popchips before.

I rewarded it by buying a bag. I believe in positive reinforcement.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

If you are going to break out one of the mightiest guitar riffs from the mighty guitar era of the nineteen seventies do not bury it in the mix so it sounds like a wispy fart trickling out between the butt cheeks of Dave Mathews, the lamest little shit squirt that ever committed music.

Really, that was the least of that episode's sins and monstrous crimes. Also, you misspelled John Mayer.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I haven't seen the Glee episode in question, but just needed to agree with the tangential dissing of John Mayer. "Daughters" and "Waiting on the World to Change" top my list of most-hated songs. Not just songs I don't like, but songs I actively hate.

hip deep in pie

I was right to set low expectations for the day. I had signed up for a Pies and Tarts class at the local CC, and just got an email that it's been cancelled. I am crushed...it was the thing I was looking forward to all month. I was getting me through work hell.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Aw, Sue, I'm sorry.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Obviously you need to treat yourself to some pie (or a tart, if you prefer) to deal with the disappointment.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Admittedly, that is some of the funniest early "The Office" episodes when Michael gets over heartbreak by listening to Mayer songs.

I'm on the same boat with you hating Mayer though. "Daughters" makes me want to take a hostage.

Because books.

Pies and Tarts

Oooh! Sucks that it was cancelled. For all I bake, I rarely make pie (except pumpkin). I could stand to take a Pies and Tarts class.

I have a movie tonight, but I did buy stick to try making pie pops. [link] Maybe I will do that when I get home.

FWIW, I swear by this pie crust recipe (or the Jeffrey Steingarten original): [link]
