This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Good luck, ita !

Well, despite last week's hot weather, I think winter has hit the Bay Area: it's pouring rain and everyone on the street is in rubber boots (except for me). But everyone's also cheerful because the Giants won last night, and (assuming today's game doesn't get rained out) may make it to the World Series after all.

Me, I'm trying not to worry about the election, while at the same time thinking, "Romney served one term as a governor of a state that now hates him. He changes his story with his socks, and appears not to understand that government =! business. Why would anyone vote for the guy?" And I have no answer.

yeah pro-life is a big enough single issue to pull a lot of votes from people I know down here.

Then there is also the really strongly held belief that Obama or really any Democrat wants to take their money and give it to lazy people who lie and cheat the system.

No, I do not get it, like at all. Especially with facts about tax rates being lower in recent years and Romney making money from abortions and not being anti-choice in MA and and and.

Which is kind of amusing (for carefully calibrated definitions of amusing), since the most red states are also the ones that get the most government money. So the people they seem to hold in contempt are themselves.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Good luck, ita.

So, Zachary Quinto was here in town yesterday at the local university for a get out the vote campaign. Everyone failed to tell me this.

Punishingly Intricate

Good luck today, ita. I just read a story by a woman who got a neurostimulator to treat her intractable migraines. It is in this month's Marie Claire. Her name is Tia Williams, she is a beauty writer, I think.
