I meant hopefully I was going to Dallas, which Kat asked me.
Luckily, I was!

Grr. "Slightly annoying things that are nevertheless hella annoying" is piling up. Last night they lost my bag on the (direct!) flight home. This morning I was woken very early by a car alarm in the lot next door. Then someone called me and said "Hello? Hello? Hello?" but never called back. Then I finally got up, and wanted to be ready for when the guy was coming with the special ladder he had to rent, to put netting in my eaves so birds won't nest there...only he had apparently come and gone, leaving a card on my door (I had him down for 9:30, he thought it was 9, I didn't hear the doorbell in the shower...he didn't think to write my phone number down and call me). Etc. Etc. HRMPH. DUCKS. NIBBLING.
I know you said you weren't worried about it, Jesse, but just to throw it out there - do you still have checks? You can go to the grocery store and write a check for over the amount if the cash situation gets too tight before your new card shows up.

The dog-walking guy IS badass. Or his dogs are. Either way, I want to be his friend.
Agreed. I don't want to be friends with the person who sent that poor pug down the slide, though. Poor thing must have been scared.
I have spent all morning playing Whac-A-Mole with Canada.
It's about time *someone* did.
le nubian, the zillow estimates in my town directly correspond to the county estimates of value for tax purposes. Thankfully (from a tax-payer and house-seller's standpoint) these estimates are quite a bit lower than the houses sell for on the market.
Zillow might have better estimates in bigger markets, but here they just troll the tax rolls.
Oh, that's interesting, Rick. I've been saying we're underwater based on zillow, but I know the tax estimates were much lower than the appraisal we had done at the time. So I should check and see if that's the case in our area. I bet it is.

Huh, I wonder if the Bmore city estimates are affected by our homestead tax credit?
