That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I'm trying to remember if there are any Buffista babies in 1st grade with Ellie?

Isaac is in first grade, Stephanie, Lily too. If my memory is correct, Em is in second.

We just looked at second and fourth grade at Isaac's school. Pretty rocking classrooms, gotta say. I think Franny is probably going to switch schools and go there next year, although I love one of the two fourth grade teachers at her current school.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

In other news, going to a bar with your 22 year old child is surreal.

On the flip side, we bring my 73 year old father with us to the bar all the time.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

On the flip side, we bring my 73 year old father with us to the bar all the time.

It's surreal for him.

Oh, those are all good ideas, folks. Although she lives quite some distance away, I'm not sure how feasible the meals thing is. But books, music, iTunes, housecleaning, all sound good.

And my book club friend M, who is awesome, just reported that her daughter was just diagnosed with cancer for the fourth time. WTF.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh, if she's not near then things in gift card form. Things she can redeem at will. Food, distractions and services.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

And my book club friend M, who is awesome, just reported that her daughter was just diagnosed with cancer for the fourth time. WTF.

What? Like, she's trying to get ALL THE CANCERS?? I just did a case where the woman had breast cancer, then a paraganglioma, and now multiple myeloma.

Yeah, pretty much. First was cervical cancer, twice, then something else, and now I think it's liver cancer. I feel so bad for her and her mother.

Sucks really bad.

And on that cheery note, I'm off to bed. Well, sleep, sicne I'm in bed.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
