"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

After inching forward in a turn lane for 40 minutes waiting to get into the district fair, one of the guys directing traffic sent me down the one-way exit lane instead of to where people could park their cars. I took this as a sign and came home.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My sister doesn't think Coupling (UK) is funny. I don't know how to fix her. Can I get a refund? Even partial?

Got the estimate for my car fixing. MOTHERFUCKER.

My alarm clock broke while I was away. I'm pretty sure the warranty is expired, but I'll have a look. It will not be replaced anytime soon. One of the numerous LCD time-keeping devices about the home will have to do take the place of it. MOTHERFUCKER.

But, hey, I have the Syfy channel back...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

...At least you had a nice time away?

You're testing your spellcheck's learning skills, aren't you?

That said, that's an epic amount of crap, and I know how you feel. Last time that happened, I said fuckit and bought a pair of expensive shoes. Because I was already bleeding money, right? And then another tooth broke. So learn something (I'm not sure what) from me. I'm just waiting for the car to barf. Though technically, it has, as I need to get the AC fixed at some point before next summer....

I bargained Enterprise $7 down for the rental--boss flipped a lid because none of the employees in my team were at the office today, including him. So I *had* to say I was in tomorrow, which means rental. I wonder if he knows that at least one of the contractors wasn't there either...

Seems like you end up renting cars a lot ita, eesh!

I'm sure some gay woman somewhere has thought you're gay. Why do you want to be thought gay by a gay woman?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh ita, what a load of no fun to come home to.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I'm sure some gay woman somewhere has thought you're gay.

Uh, do I count?

ita, tha's a tough load of shit. Sorry you had to return from good times to that.

K kept her job! Through sheer luck, I think. But YAY.

This is what I'm saying! I should get $7 off. I'm a depressingly regular customer.

I'm sure some gay woman somewhere has thought you're gay

The one I made out with doesn't count--I get that I stacked the deck there.

Why do you want to be thought gay by a gay woman?

Because they're the arbiters? I mean, being thought gay by anyone else doesn't count.

Uh, do I count?

You seriously thought I was gay? I've had a couple lesbian friends try to use me to troll gay clubs, but none of them ever had any luck. Perhaps their plans were transparent...

Sorry you had to return from good times to that.

I have to say, I did a pretty good job of forgetting about my car...my sister got a new car (her first new car) and I was still able to push my non starter and unknown bill off to the side. My call to not know how much it'd cost was correct--the decisions I made to spend money on family were the right ones.

Kat--that's great about K! Luck is as good as anything else in that scenario--a regular pay cheque is all that's important.
