That's my girl, large and in-charge. Okay, teensy-weensy and in charge.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

ita, tha's a tough load of shit. Sorry you had to return from good times to that.

K kept her job! Through sheer luck, I think. But YAY.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Seems like you end up renting cars a lot ita, eesh!

This is what I'm saying! I should get $7 off. I'm a depressingly regular customer.

I'm sure some gay woman somewhere has thought you're gay

The one I made out with doesn't count--I get that I stacked the deck there.

Why do you want to be thought gay by a gay woman?

Because they're the arbiters? I mean, being thought gay by anyone else doesn't count.

Uh, do I count?

You seriously thought I was gay? I've had a couple lesbian friends try to use me to troll gay clubs, but none of them ever had any luck. Perhaps their plans were transparent...

Sorry you had to return from good times to that.

I have to say, I did a pretty good job of forgetting about my car...my sister got a new car (her first new car) and I was still able to push my non starter and unknown bill off to the side. My call to not know how much it'd cost was correct--the decisions I made to spend money on family were the right ones.

Kat--that's great about K! Luck is as good as anything else in that scenario--a regular pay cheque is all that's important.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yay! Thank goodness, Kat. I was worried for K.

It's weird when people talk the internetspeak and when they don't. Along those lines, I saw one of my students talking Inuyasha fanfic and I was all YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT FANFIC, OMG! But actually she's totally the right age to be into it, I just had her when she was so much younger it's startling now. And anyway, at some point, I can have an Inuyasha conversation with her.

I've definitely been mistaken for gay by gay women, in my more androgynous days.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Good news, Kat.

You seriously thought I was gay?

May have been partly wishful thinking, but yeah. You came off... kinda butch. Disappointingly stereotyping of me, I know.

I've had a couple lesbian friends try to use me to troll gay clubs, but none of them ever had any luck.

If I saw you (not knowing you) walking through a club with a girl, no way would I approach her. The last think you want is to hit on someone's girlfriend, especially if said someone could totally kick your ass. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying?

The shirts are totally awesome, don't think I said that. Well done.

Were you there when I went to Girlbar with Aimee and Glamcookie? Wow, that was back in the day.

Also, what Smonster said. Generally, when attempting to pick up Teh Ladies they should either be in a group of 3-4 and clearly not together, or one of them has to be a friend of yours so you can be all "hey" and she can say "this is my girlfriend!" or not. Luckily with the small world, that's not hard.

You sure you wouldn't have another think coming?

Sorry--it was really right there, and I can't let shit go.

The times Heidi tried to pimp me out, it was in a flock of clubbing women, some straight, some gay. It's not like anyone got much attention, so I'm not wounded by being ignored, but Heidi was so flummoxed she took us out again, and then threw her hands up in confusion.

But, honestly, apart from the woman I macked on, I'm fairly sure I've never been flirted with by a girl. Or asked if I was gay or straight by a lesbian (Heidi knew I was straight the whole time). It is possible I'm so clearly gay it's not a question, but for reasons not worth discussing (or I'll cry) women aren't going to make a move, ever.

::fist bump::

I don't know if I've fist-bumped as much in my life as I did this weekend. Whoa.

I just went and looked Heidi up, and silver foxiness is treating her well: [link] That's a very nice silvering pattern, and she's looking fine.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I've been out with lesbian friends several times, and I never get hit on. Meara says that it's because I scream "straight girl", which I am very ambivalent about. Am I bothered because I want to be seen as laid back and open, or am I just vain and want to get hit on?
