this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Suela, that facility sounds really good. Fingers crossed for as smooth a transition as possible.

M, cab like the wind!

the XKCD map printed at 300dpi is around 46 foot / 14 meters wide.

Consuela, I'm glad things are moving in a productive and positive direction!

I went to the pool. It was mobbed. I came home and will go later. Where did all these people come from? It used to be deserted from 5-6:30! Stop messing with my swim, people!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Why am I so sleepy?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I want to find a 46-foot wall I can commandeer.

Sheryl, how does your caffeine intake today compare with normal?

I have a powerpoint I have to make for a class. It is supposed to be an hour long (we don't actually have to present it). I don't want to do this, if for no other reason than if I were doing an hour-long session, I would not spend the whole time with a powerpoint.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have a co-worker I keep trading favouris with--somehow we keep doing stuff for each other for no reason, and then turning around and saying "Hey! Okay, now you owe me, then! Why did I do that?"

And I just got caught by that again--two people called me on an outage, and he's the head of the outage team! But I had the alerts out and it fixed before I realised it wasn't my job...and it's not like I want his...

Dammit, the garage hasn't called back. I'm about to haemorrhage money.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Consuela, I hope everything goes smoothly.

Jilli!!!!! Have you seen this? [link] Because it's yummy.

Oh hey, fashion is starting to cater to my tastes again!

ION, I had to put all my desk toys away and cram my monitors onto the small part of the desk "L". But when I get into the office tomorrow, I'll have the standing desk I asked for.

Caffeine intake was about usual for a work day. I did wake up at least once, but I don't know what time it was. Interrupted sleep...all too common for me.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh Suela, that place sounds ideal, fingers crossed that everything works out.

ita, love the photo! Everyone looks so happy in it.

And Scrappy, love LOVE that photo shoot. I want those coats! And buckles on my shoes, and cameos in my hair!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It was a very interesting weekend--I asked one of my cousins about that ad with the androgynous model, because her brother is a transman, and she used genderqueer in her answer, and I about jumped up and down, squealing with delight. I've never heard that said out loud before.

But she talks the internet talk, but from BOOKS. It's the weirdest thing. We discussed feminism v. trans* rights, and whether or not it has to be a versus at all, and it was weird.

Other cousin--apparently one of her sisters might have MPD. Except, does that exist? Who knows? But her sister could have that. And she wants me to wear a tux to her baby sister's wedding.

Generally, it was discussed how I could appear gay to gay women, because it seems no gay woman in the history of ever has mistaken me for a lesbian, and that just seems...improbable. Given...stuff. One...is that too much to ask?

Unrelated to all that, Time Warner support wanted to know the make and model of my remote controls. And apparently Logitech Harmony 880 and 650 aren't answers she recognises. And then she wanted to know what brand my TV was, in case she had to send it a signal. Now, I've told her I'm using a TiVo. But for some reason, she thinks I'm getting TV signal over the internet to my TiVo, so I had to pretend to disconnect it from the internet to move to the next troubleshooting step.
