Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Maria has posted. Still feels awful but fever has broken. In case I was not the only one who worried.

Thanks, Typo.

Never fear, had she not posted, I would have harangued her via phone and email, and had that not worked, gotten her local friends to check on her (I made note of who did a supply run for her. I GOOD STALKER!)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Do you know that most people in "developing" countries use their phones for Internet access? I read that somewhere and I at once was astounded and understood it.

Some places went from no phones to cell phones, skipping over land-lines just about entirely. Towers are easier to build and maintain in isolated than systems of wires.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

had to go into my "rage mix" to power through.

I want to know what this is, I really do.

Ha! I meant my playlist. I'm old school, I've dropped the "tape", but I still call it a mix.

What kind of music goes into a "rage mix"?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

If I get myself too screwed into “I’m in trouble and every waking moment has to be spent getting myself out,” I’ll never get out because I’ll be too depressed to move.

And the too depressed thing means I am so much less efficient at doing the kinds of things that could just maybe help get me out. Not guaranteed but just maybe. Vicious circle. Spiral. It's a shape and it's vicious.

But still manage to have the kind of attitude that lights up a room, like crips on TV have.

Well, yeah. Those people are fucking inspirational. I've seen them. On the TV.

Do you know that most people in "developing" countries use their phones for Internet access?

It's a small handheld computer that can give you access to much of the world. Cell phones are kinda amazing.

But you can offer a carpet deposit. Plus a professional carpet cleaning.

This is true. And it'd sway me as an owner. Yes, pets add massive wear and tear even when not outright destructive, but if you are willing to pay for cleaning and put a deposit down for damages, you are totally stepping up as a responsible prospective pet owner.

I GOOD STALKER!

There are times we really value that here. I mean, almost always with us.

What kind of music goes into a "rage mix"?

The kind that is against machines?

lots of guitars and drums, music that you can yell out.

I'm too lazy to get up and get my phone, so off the top of my head, some of the songs are:

Bodies (although its about dancing)
Break Stuff by Limp Bizkit
Blue Monday - Orgy
Cult of Personality - Living Color
Mortal Kombat
Head Like a Hole - NIN
Down With the Sickness
Attitude- Hardknox

But isn't the rage mix itself housed on a machine?

All the more reason to rage!

I managed to convince myself to go out this evening--I'm rarely in town on Tuesdays, and I hadn't left the house all day, so I went to dance. It didn't start until 9pm! (There are various lessons happening before that) And by the time I left at 10pm it was just getting crowded. Sigh. I remember the days, back when I would go out to clubs at 11pm on a Wednesday. And now I'm in bed before that most nights. I did dance with a couple friends (yay people I knew were there!) and a cople strangers. And introduced myself to one girl I've seen all over but not ever talked to, we had a nice chat. Of course, she's also the ex of someone I have a crush on (who I know is not into me--we went on a date a long time ago). Why is my world so small?
