Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm glad to see my post yesterday started such an interesting conversation. I tend to have the thought process of buying something because I'm tired, cranky, depressed, in pain, etc, and therefore, I deserve the treat. Then I feel guilty about spending the money later.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I resemble this remark. Lately, when I want to go buy lunch (despite having brought my lunch) I remind myself that it's a false refuge (Buddhist language). Sometimes it works, it breaks the craving and I can get at the root of why I don't feel good. But mostly I'm trying not to judge myself if I do buy lunch/candy/socks/shinies on sale, because I'm learning more and more that it's the judging that really feeds that cycle. I mean, I agonized for minutes the other day about buying 3 packs of heart Peeps on sale at $0.37 each! It's a freaking dollar. They make me happy floating in my coffee. Chill the fuck out Luther damn.

Because books.

I wound up deep in her Argh Ink blog, too, trying to figure out what happened, and man, did she have a bad year. It was really heartening to read that post you linked, too. Thanks.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

That's a good rage mix.

Chill the fuck out Luther damn.

And ha, I need to say this to myself all the time!

Yeah, I really relate, smonster. I do that stuff all the time, both the spending and the judging and the pontificating and then the more judging. Get over myself, self! Buy it or don't buy it, but don't spend so damn much time agonizing about it!

Yeah, she really had a sucktastic year. The good news is that her new doctor is confident that with current treatments she shouldn't lose her sight totally.

Art Crawl!!!

The stubbornness of Yorkies. .. does that come from their terrier roots?

I saw that. I never did figure out why she moved where she did, though, unless that's where the doctor is. I have a lot of respect for her, crazy as she can be, because she doesn't lie down, and she always speaks her mind, and she's willing to try new things.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Terriers can be pretty stubborn, but they are pretty clever and trainable.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Does anybody know a good lip shade that would work well alongside OPI's Got the Blues for Red? That's totally my favorite blue-toned red, and I think I would rock that lip color, but I don't know where to start looking.
