OMG, why would they do that? Those are delish!!
I don't know! But they're super cheap and they're going away. And you can store them in your freezer.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Are you sure they are clearing them out? Or are they just seasonal?
Are you sure they are clearing them out?
That's what the TJ's guy said: "They're clearing them out. They're going away."
Seriously, 89 cents a box. That's a clearance price.
Or are they just seasonal?
Wouldn't this be the season for them?
That's what I meant, as in, buy them now as they won't last. But I'll trust what the TJ guy said.
smonster, we have half & half in our fridge that we bought right before leaving, should probably still be good now, but probably won't be when we get back, so help yourself. Also, we have a ton of spices and staples so if you need anything in our fridge or cabinets, help yourself.
Thanks for good wishes, everyone. Had a nice dinner with the SiL and niecephews last night and will be spending the day today with them. We'll all be going back to Kirkcaldy for the dispersal of the ashes this afternoon. Then tomorrow we are driving back to Edinburgh and flying to London, then driving out to the West country to visit Tom's dad.
We need to talk to Tom's dad about the possibility of selling the house up here in St. Andrews, we may well need to to cover probate fees, etc. He didn't seem so keen on it a couple years ago, but we'll see.
{{Nora & Tom}} thinking about you both
{{Stephanie}} good luck
{{smonster}} you are doing so well! You can do it! I just wish StW was around to appreciate it. I fell asleep and didn't call my SiL last night, but I will today, so I'll nail down xmas, and make sure to see you! I miss you!
Lots of wisdom, Stephanie. And speaking as someone who's been on the other side, the painful learning is necessary. I had a close friend try and "fix" me, and when I talked to her about it she couldn't see at all why that might be a bad thing.
Good luck with the tough conversations, Nora. I hope it goes well.
So sad, I have a headache from two glasses of wine. I think I was a little dehydrated from work.
amyth, keep me posted. You are always welcome in the Land of Perpetual Disapproval and Cats.
Wishing strength to Stephanie & Nora, for vastly different reasons.
Waking up at 2 am because HPF was coughing like she had croup? not fun. Watching her temperature spike from normal to 101.8 in the twenty minutes we had her up to try and steam the cough away? also not fun. Having her run around the house like a loon - a healthy loon - this morning? Baffling.
{{{Stephanie}}}} Best wishes to you.
I do frittatas pretty frequently, but I'm out of cheese at the moment. Thanks for all the tips and encouragement, y'all. It helps so much.
While everything is better with cheese, you can still make a good frittata without out. Cut up any root vegetable you have and roast it is a small (8X8 or 9X9 pan), lower the heat in the oven to 350, add some beaten eggs to the pan (about 5) and cook until set (20 minutes or so).
{{{Sox}}} I'm glad HPF is feeling better this morning, but you must be exhausted.
