Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

My office is offering flu shots for free, so I'll be getting one. I don't always get the flu, but it happens now an again. Aside from literally, I figure getting the flu shot won't hurt.

Health~ma to Daniel and coping~ma to Andy.

I've gotten a fair bit of running around done today. I think I'm pretty much done with most of my trip prep., aside from laundry and doing the actual packing.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

24 pounds in 3 weeks sounds dangerous to me. I hope your hubby's MD signed off on the diet. (Hope I'm not overstepping the advice line. I'm nervous about the low carb diet because my dad's cardiologist said, "Atkins bought my summer home.")

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Atkins is only one low carb diet. I think nowadays people prefer South Beach. I am doing low carb and while I have an occasional burger, I also eat vegetables, etc.

Our wings are not tired.

He eats his veggies. He is just so huge even at normal weight that he burns a zillion calories a day. % of his size 24 pounds isn't so crazy. I assume it will slow down as time goes on. The first couple weeks he dumped a bunch.

Nine pounds in three weeks is AWESOME Laura! Forget your husband, you're kicking some ass!

I would consider low carb, and did pretty well the one time I did it, but know I can't do it forever, and as soon as you stop the weight tends to pile back on...

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Hec, JZ, I feel your car trouble pain, and am sorry to hear it. What a giant, money-sucking, stressful PITA.

I got a tetanus booster for the first time in, um, 25 years a couple of years ago, and one thing I learned from the Intertubes that I wish my doctor at the time had told me was to move that arm around a lot in the first 2-3 days.

I had a huge sore lump at the injection site for about a week, and apparently, moving the arms around, even though it hurts, gets that anti-whateveritis juice moving around quicker and you're less likely to have the Lump of EwOuch.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

OMG Erin. I am now googling tetanus shot and reading people's reactions with the shot and again I am reminded why my doctor told me not to use google for medical conditions.

STEP AWAY FROM THE MEDICAL GOOGLING!

The lump wasn't OOHMYGODKILLMENOW painful, or like the size of an second head; it was just annoying.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I really should stop doing that. I google for everything else, but I need to remind myself that hypochondria + google = cray cray

Oh, hell yeah. I'm not even close to being alarmist, and I can freak myself out googling medical stuff sometimes.
