Nine pounds in three weeks is AWESOME Laura! Forget your husband, you're kicking some ass!

I would consider low carb, and did pretty well the one time I did it, but know I can't do it forever, and as soon as you stop the weight tends to pile back on...

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Hec, JZ, I feel your car trouble pain, and am sorry to hear it. What a giant, money-sucking, stressful PITA.

I got a tetanus booster for the first time in, um, 25 years a couple of years ago, and one thing I learned from the Intertubes that I wish my doctor at the time had told me was to move that arm around a lot in the first 2-3 days.

I had a huge sore lump at the injection site for about a week, and apparently, moving the arms around, even though it hurts, gets that anti-whateveritis juice moving around quicker and you're less likely to have the Lump of EwOuch.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

OMG Erin. I am now googling tetanus shot and reading people's reactions with the shot and again I am reminded why my doctor told me not to use google for medical conditions.

STEP AWAY FROM THE MEDICAL GOOGLING!

The lump wasn't OOHMYGODKILLMENOW painful, or like the size of an second head; it was just annoying.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I really should stop doing that. I google for everything else, but I need to remind myself that hypochondria + google = cray cray

Oh, hell yeah. I'm not even close to being alarmist, and I can freak myself out googling medical stuff sometimes.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I slept for 5 hours, took the dog for a walk around the block, and my neighbor let me know I have a flat tire. M says, "Don't worry, darlin', I got you." I bet it was a nail.

I am kind of freaking out and overwhelmed right now. So many things to do, and I can't figure out what to do first, and I feel like I wasted the whole day and I'll won't get the things done I need to this weekend, and I don't really want to do any of it. /whinge

This. Quite a lot of money pain is related to transportation. I hope a solution presents itself.

Low carb works well for DH because it takes away his appetite making it easier to make good choices. It is too hard for me since I don't eat meat. I am doing a no simple carb type variety. No bread, rice, pasta, etc. But I still drink my wine in the evening and feel free to crunch a carrot. Since he doesn't have any junk food around it is easy enough.

My sister inspired us somewhat. She has lost 106 pounds in the last year. 1-3 pounds a week, and it sure added up. She still has a long way to go so she is sticking to her rather odd program. Her knees are shot and she was too big and rather unwell to do much exercise except swimming. She had lung surgery a number of years ago and her breath is short too. Anyway, she eats a tiny something for breakfast. A yogurt cup, or oatmeal, or even a bacon and egg biscuit on occasion. Then she eats whatever she feels like for lunch. I mean anything, meatball sub or fruit salad, whatever sounds good to her. Then that is it for the day. Period. She says all she does is sit on her ass after work and she doesn't need fuel for that. It isn't for everyone for sure. But 106 pounds in just over a year so she is going to keep at it.

It is really tough not to Google medical stuff. I have never been able to help myself.

{{smonster}} You don't have to do it all. Overwhelmed is not good. Be gentle with yourself and make a plan. I know you have the tools to do this.

smonster, don't forget the Rule of 5.

Don't focus on doing all of it; focus on the 3 things you need to do. The most important or time-sensitive. Focus on them.

If you worry about all you SHOULD be doing, you'll never get ONE damn thing done.

MWAH!
