Oh, hell yeah. I'm not even close to being alarmist, and I can freak myself out googling medical stuff sometimes.
Spike's Bitches 47: Someone Dangerous Could Get In
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I slept for 5 hours, took the dog for a walk around the block, and my neighbor let me know I have a flat tire. M says, "Don't worry, darlin', I got you." I bet it was a nail.
I am kind of freaking out and overwhelmed right now. So many things to do, and I can't figure out what to do first, and I feel like I wasted the whole day and I'll won't get the things done I need to this weekend, and I don't really want to do any of it. /whinge
Hec, JZ, I feel your car trouble pain, and am sorry to hear it. What a giant, money-sucking, stressful PITA.
This. Quite a lot of money pain is related to transportation. I hope a solution presents itself.
Low carb works well for DH because it takes away his appetite making it easier to make good choices. It is too hard for me since I don't eat meat. I am doing a no simple carb type variety. No bread, rice, pasta, etc. But I still drink my wine in the evening and feel free to crunch a carrot. Since he doesn't have any junk food around it is easy enough.
My sister inspired us somewhat. She has lost 106 pounds in the last year. 1-3 pounds a week, and it sure added up. She still has a long way to go so she is sticking to her rather odd program. Her knees are shot and she was too big and rather unwell to do much exercise except swimming. She had lung surgery a number of years ago and her breath is short too. Anyway, she eats a tiny something for breakfast. A yogurt cup, or oatmeal, or even a bacon and egg biscuit on occasion. Then she eats whatever she feels like for lunch. I mean anything, meatball sub or fruit salad, whatever sounds good to her. Then that is it for the day. Period. She says all she does is sit on her ass after work and she doesn't need fuel for that. It isn't for everyone for sure. But 106 pounds in just over a year so she is going to keep at it.
It is really tough not to Google medical stuff. I have never been able to help myself.

{{smonster}} You don't have to do it all. Overwhelmed is not good. Be gentle with yourself and make a plan. I know you have the tools to do this.
smonster, don't forget the Rule of 5.
Don't focus on doing all of it; focus on the 3 things you need to do. The most important or time-sensitive. Focus on them.
If you worry about all you SHOULD be doing, you'll never get ONE damn thing done.
MWAH!
JZ and Hec, I'm sorry about the car troubles.

Well, I can't go do laundry, so that's out. Right now I need to make some dinner, and then do some dishes, and then see if I can find the Telltale Pipe that's slowly driving me insane.
I'm doing laundry in your honor, smonster. Of course, I"m not doing the work that I also didn't do on Friday, but whatev'.
Laura that's impressive on her part, if a bit odd of a plan.
I am thinking dinner with friends may just involve drinks, because I ate so late, and don't think I'll be hungry in two hours...but i want to keep eating more NOW!
Harvey just stole a broccoli floret off my plate. Then came back for pea pods.
Cats, go figure.
I did a few dishes, more are soaking, I'm making a quesadilla. I'm also drinking wine and playing music, which I figure will either put me in a better mood or a less caring one.
