Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Back from a hell of a visit to the in laws. My MiL is doing really well, even with a broken wrist, sprained knee and broken shoulder. We managed to ease her out to dinner at her favorite place and a lovely time was had by all.

After dinner, my SiL (a nurse) diagnosed my DH's leg, which has been hurting him all week and is a bit swollen. We both thought it was related to his recent bout of airline travel. This morning, we managed to convince him to go to the ER and after four hours there we found out he has deep vein thrombosis (his is a blood clot behind his knee). It can kill ya, but luckily his was caught early. SiL is the head ER nurse, so we got treated like freaking royalty, which was helpful, as the DH has lot of doctor anxiety.

He has to take blood thinners for six months, plus I have to inject him with SUPER blood thinners twice a day for a week. He will have to go the docs every few days to have his blood tested for a while. Scary. We drove home and are now kinda collapsed and I am about to google DVT like a maniac.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

So...Buffista couples. Own up. What would you look like if Graham Norton read your texts with your SO on international TV. Cute? Embarrassing? Offensive?

Pete has sent me one text. Ever. I would really like a steak & veg pie. Enough to text.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yikes! Glad you caught it, Scrappy!

ita, there will be other movies you need to seek out in 2-D. You and your FH will cross paths several more times, narrowly missing each other, before finally being thrown together by some amusing coincidence.

The status is NOT quo.

Oh, poor Scrappy's DH! So glad you guys caught it.

A lot of them would be very boring and logistical did-you-remember type texts. Many pictures of cute pets. Some are amusing out of context: "Will do. Have fun bouncing today."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I went to the Rave. Before AMC Century City got really nice, I used to see movies there all the time. They pretty much have all nice screens. So I picked them over the Landmark. Though I forgot you have to pay for parking, which takes the shine off pre-noon prices. So maybe not again.

there will be other movies you need to seek out in 2-D

Well, I can tell which ones he's going to see because I was totally staring during previews, so maybe I'll just have to see them multiple times.

Ack, Scrappy! Drama!

I am so hydrated. My veins better be good tonight, fuck it.

So, I stumbled upon something that claimed to be women's #3 sex fantasy. So I decided to look at lists thereof. Wow, writing about women's sexuality is pretty damned bad in the mainstream. So apologetic and splainy.

Compassionately intolerant

Aww. Graham Norton picked a relationship in his audience and read the couple's text messages and they were so insanely sweet. They called each other pickle and angel and honeypuff in just about every message, and signed off with "xx."

Those two were, indeed, maxadorable. And Graham was sweet to them at a point where he could have played for the gagging jokes. Instead, it seemed like he really wished he was somebody's honeypuff.

eta: plus, hadn't they been together for some surprisingly long period of time? I remember thinking, 'good on 'em for keeping the romance alive.'

Not that long. Four years, married.

Okay, most of these woman's fantasy lists are the same (but warn some things are impossible--like a MMF threesome with both men bisexual--but that's what fantasies are for, no?), but so far only one has listed incest as a top female fantasy. Srsly?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Wait, why is that impossible? Does it create a wormhole? Is it just that hard to find two men who'll admit they're bi?
